On October 23, 2025, I received an Innovation Award at Sony Pictures Imageworks (SPI) for my work on Overnight Desktop Rendering – an initiative that dramatically improved our render throughput using OpenCue, the SPI in-house render farm system (open source).

This recognition celebrates our engineering effort to enhance rendering efficiency using OpenCue, the open-source render-farm management system originally developed at Imageworks and now hosted by the Academy Software Foundation (ASWF).

This project exemplifies how software engineering and cross-team collaboration can drive tangible production impact, helping us get more frames processed, faster, by making better use of existing infrastructure.
